November is National Novel Writing Month (aka NaNoWriMo). I last attempted this about three years ago, but never completed it because I thought it had been a good idea to do NaNo in my last month of pregnancy. (I know, not my most brilliant moment.)
This year, I’m attempting it again. Since I’m going to have a fairly busy November, there’s a good chance I won’t finish this year either, but that’s okay. Also, I figure NaNo will be the best way to get this story idea out of my head, since it’s not leaving me alone. It’s just demanding attention. So are the characters, who keep wanting to have adventures. HOW DARE THEY!
Ahem.
Anyway, who’s with me? If you’re doing NaNo, my username is ApocalypseMama. Feel free to find me!
Okay, I admit, I’m a wee bit excited.

I’m soupsangel over there. Will be adding you as a writing buddy.
Will check in with you along the way to the Winner’s Circle!
Sounds great, Dawna! We can motivate each other to the finish line. What’s your book about?
Sounds good to me! My book is actually a bit of fan fiction I guess based on the World of Darkness Werewolves. Werewolf: The Apocalypse, to be exact. My first time writing for them, but I’m really looking forward to it. As far as storyline… Well, I’m just going to allow it to be character driven for the most part. Let them tell me their story. What about you?
Your story sounds neat. Mine…um, well, it has zombies in it. That’s about all I know right now. Like you, I’m going to let the characters take the lead. They’re itching for some adventures, hehe.
Ooooh! Very cool. I always enjoy the character driven stories. While they will run out of steam prematurely at times, they are a good deal more fun than sitting down to plot it all out. I think that’s the most fun way of doing NaNo. Looking forward to hearing about the adventures your characters lead you.
I’m looking forward to hearing about your characters too! I’m pretty excited actually, lol.
Good luck! Me and NaNo don’t get along very well, but good luck in getting to the 50k mark!
Jamie
Thanks! I’ll need the luck hehe.
